For light VTOL aircraft and aerial platforms to be safe to use around people and remain commercially feasible, major improvements need to be made to the jet propulsion technology. Since the 1980’s jet propulsion has only had innovations to increase efficiency but not the approaches to overall usage.
Due to this, the VTOL usecase has been stuck with rocketry or huge blades strapped to electric motors with limited lift capacity. We sought to widen VTOL usage by combining the benefits of jet propulsion with the flexibility and utility of VTOL aircraft. We did this by taking advantage of pulse detonation technology which, coupled with our patent-pending silencing technology, is more energy efficient.
This revolutionary propulsion technology was then built from the ground up to be sustainable for use with zero-carbon fuels such as hydrogen and ammonia.
Our products offer the most benefits for propulsion or lift in situations requiring fuel efficiency, user safety, take-off and landing without a runway or in heavy lifting applications without pre-built structures.
